City of Braunschweig funding: through its renewable energy programme, the city only funds plug-in solar devices, small batteries for them and off-grid systems in allotment gardens. Rooftop systems haven’t been eligible since 2023, and as far as we know the 2026 funds are already exhausted. For your rooftop system, the main financial levers are therefore 0% VAT, self-consumption and the feed-in tariff.
